1) Eagle Harbor Campground on Lake Huron in Mackinac Island State Park: Pick your own blueberries, walk the beach, and splash in the lake at this campground on the southern tip of Mackinac Island. The campground is pet-friendly, so bring your furry friend along for the adventure. It has 112 campsites, including some with water views, and is just steps away from the beach.


2) Gobles Campground, Traverse City State Park - Traverse City, Michigan This campground is right on the water in the heart of Traverse City, so it’s the perfect place to spend the day relaxing on the beach or playing in the waves. There are plenty of tent and RV sites, with water, electricity and cable available. There are also a couple of large playgrounds and a basketball court. The campground also has a restaurant, coffee shop and gift shop, so you don’t have to go too far to get a bite to eat or a souvenir..
